a pinch of yellow

I'm not normally a yellow and black person - it comes off a little too bumble bee-ish for me. That being said, this room is incredibly chic and crisp, while still maintaining an inviting atmosphere, and definitely does not remind me of bumble bees.

photo wall done right

I've seen a lot of photo walls, but this one from style files is probably my favorite. The white frames on white walls really helps the photos to pop without appearing to heavy because of dark or mismatched frames. 

i heart subway tiles in kitchens with oversized stainless steel appliances

I absolutely love these two kitchens with subway tiles. The first (above) is just so fresh and fun with the blue subway tiles and cushions, yet completely classic at the same time. The second (below) is the kitchen that spawned a thousand (or more) kitchens - the iconic kitchen from the movie Something's Gotta Give with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton. Granted, this photo doesn't show the kitchen in all of its glory so you'll have to take my word for it. If I had a kitchen like either of these I might even be inspired to cook ;)
