skip to my lou...lou

It's all about marketing to the next generation of buyers right?Secure devotees young and you've got them for life. Well, Philippe Starck has jumped on the bandwagon and has come out with the Lou Lou Ghost Chair, a smaller [measuring just 25 inches high] version of the phenomenally popular iconic Louis Ghost Chair [also found throughout various Pinkberry locations]. The mini-me chair by Kartell is available for just $130...for a child size plastic chair. I'm not sure about you, but when I was a child and had a plastic table and chairs I think I drew on it...but then again I also drew on my grandmother's antique chair as well [it was the creative side of me].

No more reality shows.

Internationally known French designer Philippe Starck is doing a reality show. As much as I admire Starck's work, I'm a little bit disappointed. Starck has designed basically everything from interiors, hotels, and furniture to toothbrushes and even an optical mouse for Microsoft. I first studied S
tarck in school because of his Alessi Juicy Salif- the simple juicer that has developed somewhat of a cult following. Pinkberry stores feature his chairs and Target carries some of his products. Trust me, he's good kids.

So WHY does he have to do reality? Reality is soo skeezy. His new show, School of Design, will search to find the next great British designer. Since its on BBC and not in the states I can pretend he hasn't stooped to the reality level I guess?

I'm not going to lie. I enjoy some reality television shows. However, it doesn't mean that I respect the people that are in them. If Frank Ghery comes out with a reality television show I might cry.
