When hand washing isn't fun anymore...

Gas too expensive?

We've all seen the Segway Personal Transporter which caused overweight mall and college campus security personnel everywhere to rejoice because they no longer had to rely on their own physical fitness. Now, they could grab that extra donut, jump on their George Jetson contraption, and zip off to catch the bad guy.

Well, what if you wanted something a little bit more secure...something enclosed perhaps... well I would like to introduce you to the Personal Electric Vehicle(PEV). No more $4.00+/gallon gas for you! Just grab your extension cord and you are off...zipping down the highway at 70mph! They are considered motorcycles in the U.S. and you can actually drive the thing on the highway...if you're not concerned about your life.

But wait, there's more! Unlike the Segway, the PEV offers a spacious(?) trunk for all of your parcels. All that AND the supercool bubble look that all your friends will be envious of- what more could a girl ask for?!

Natural Light

This house was designed by Seifert Stoeckmann in Gelnhouse, Germany. It features 52 windows and the bedroom is a "drawer" that can slide out so you can sleep under the stars.

Have your cake and eat it too!

It has been a while since I last found something that I am truly in awe of. I Dream of Cake is truly awe inspiring. They are true artists creating everything from handbags and shoes, to statues and laptop computers out of cake. It is AMAZING. It even inspires me to want to bake! Here are some of their designs, but not even the best ones. You have to check them out.

Stamps & Great Design

I've never been a stamp nerd, or really ever had any interest in stamps at all, but that is about to change. This June the United States Postal Service issued the Charles and Ray Eames Commemorative Stamps. While I may never be able to own a piece of their furniture, I will get myself to a postoffice and buy a sheet of their stamps.

Really though, how come there aren't more stamps that feature truly great design? Who wants cartoon characters, woodland ducks and cliche felines? A stamp is such a small little item that could bring someone a little joy when they go to the mailbox.
